Applications
 
The coulometric or anodic dissolution technique is used for measuring the thickness of eletroplated deposit on practically all substrates, i.e. on steel, on non-ferrous metals and also on insulating materials such as nickel on steel, zinc on steel, tin on copper silver on copper and copper on epoxy.

This technique simply involves the removal of a small, almost invisible area of coating materiak. The substrate is not affected. The coulometric method ensure reliable and esact result. In addition, the measuring instrument is extremely easy to use. It can be operated according to the instruction and requires no special knowledge. Coulometry is the only technique which allows the individual coatings of a multi-layer system, e.g. chrome, nickel and cooper on steel, to be measured separately.
