One material family. Very different jobs. The application defines the grade, the formulation and the questions worth asking.

Tires & tread compounds
Carbon black is widely used to reinforce tire compounds. Selection involves balancing properties such as wear, strength and processing behavior within a complete formulation.
Discuss: tire component, compound type, target properties, current grade and trial requirements.
Industrial rubber goods
Hoses, conveyor belts, seals, profiles and molded parts place different demands on a compound. Reinforcing and semi-reinforcing grades are considered according to the application and process.
Discuss: extrusion or molding process, hardness target, flexibility, surface finish and operating conditions.
Plastics & masterbatch
Appropriately selected carbon black grades can provide black pigmentation and contribute to UV protection in polymer systems. Dispersion, resin compatibility and end-use requirements are important selection factors.
Discuss: polymer, loading, dispersion method, desired color, weathering needs and regulatory requirements.
Coatings & inks
Pigment applications may need specialty properties that differ from rubber grades. Color development, undertone, dispersion and formulation compatibility should be evaluated together.
Discuss: binder system, color target, dispersing equipment and technical requirements. Specialty-grade availability must be confirmed with our team.
